What Claude reset history actually tells us
A record of public announcements can show what happened. It cannot tell you when your account will refresh next.
The collection at a glance
From Apr 16, 2026 through Nov 2, 2026 (UTC), this archive contains 14 reset announcements: 12 applied resets and 2 banked offers. Multiple posts describing one reset stay inside one event.
The newest applied reset in this collection is Weekly limits reset for Max plans (Sep 4, 2026). A newer banked offer can be the board’s headline while the last applied reset is older. That is why the two dates need not match.
Announcements by month
Rows count distinct events, not posts or affected users. Only months with recorded events appear; an absent month is not proof no reset happened.
| Month | Applied | Banked |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-10 | 0 | 1 |
| 2026-09 | 2 | 1 |
| 2026-07 | 3 | 0 |
| 2026-06 | 5 | 0 |
| 2026-05 | 1 | 0 |
| 2026-04 | 1 | 0 |
Why an average is not a countdown
The mean gap between measurable consecutive applied announcements is 12.2 days, using 11 of 11 consecutive pairs. The longest measured gap is 47.6 days. These are completed historical gaps. The unfinished wait since the newest event is excluded.
A date-only event blocks measurement on either side; we do not invent midnight timestamps or bridge the uncertainty. Banked offers never enter this calculation. Records combine different audiences, so this average is not a personal Pro or Max reset schedule.
Broad does not mean every limit changed
Audience and limit window are separate fields. An announcement can cover all subscribers without saying which session, weekly, or model-specific limits changed. The board preserves “window not stated” where the source is silent. Filter the board for Max and weekly announcements, then read each event’s scope and evidence.
Banked versus applied, in everyday terms
An applied reset describes an allowance change announced as already made. A banked reset is something eligible users choose to redeem. Both appear on one board with labels so a saved offer is not mistaken for a fresh allowance.
How to use this archive
- Check your account’s usage screen first. It shows your own remaining allowance.
- Find the announcement and check its date, eligible plans, limit windows and expiry.
- Open the original source from the event page. Separate what the source states from our interpretation.
- If the announcement and your account differ, save the public link and contact Anthropic support. This tracker cannot apply a reset.
Coverage and corrections
This manually researched collection begins April 16, 2026. It is not a complete account log or a survey of all Claude users. Sources come from the public source directory. Unknown dates, unstated scope, corrections and related posts remain visible. New research can change totals.
Computed from the same versioned dataset as the board and public API; dataset revision d263575a1861c709. Analysis maintained by Mike. Read the verification and calculation rules or send a sourced correction.
